Overview
Pradasphere II is the follow-on from our original exhibition almost 10 years ago: this time more than twice as large. Occupying the entirety of the Start Museum in Shanghai, Pradasphere II combines the ordered classification of the magazzino — populated with nearly 200 looks, organized chronologically — with a fragmentary array of spatial mock-ups: from historical spaces in Milan and boutiques, to cinema, gallery, Fondazione Prada, and the America’s Cup yacht Luna Rossa. The repetition and expansion of the images – representing the broad diversify of Prada passions from fashion to art to sport – take inspiration from the hyper-organization of the magazzino warehouse concept.
